Nintendo President Says Company is working on "New Methods" for Nintendo LaBo

It's no secret that Nintendo Lab Not quite able to achieve the high heights Nintendo could have been hoping for or expecting, but it's not just done.

From the beginning, Labo is a major intriguing attraction for Nintendo; Rather than the normal marketing process for games, LaBo is pushed as if anything else were entirely, perhaps most prominently as a creative tool for education. Thanks to this, the typical gaming audience didn't hover it up at launch and it didn't take long for everyone to disappear from the gaming charts, never to be seen again.

So what about LaBo now, and what can we expect to see in the future? Well, Nintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa has touched their point in the latest interview with Kyoto Shimbun (translated by Nintendo ever).

Nintendo LaBoy was an innovative, new set of games that incorporated aspects of engineering. How did you go?

It is not sold like our other hit games, but we have seen sales increase at the end of the year. There are many new ways to experience LaBo, and we are working on formulating new methods that convey allergy so lab's sales will have more legs.

Whether "formulating new methods" for Labo means new toy cons packs, or simply new advertisement and marketing plans, is not 100% clear, although it would not be surprising to see more sets arrive at some point this year. The Genius at work behind his plan, and the pure creativity that can be born because of it, are clear to all; Perhaps all it needs is a little refinement?

What do you think? Do you think Nintendo Labo has the potential to jump further into the future? Do you own any kits yourself? Let us know in the comments below.
