Newly issued patent applications show that TESLA is constantly working to develop technologies that make their vehicles more efficient. And no wonder. After all, effective production is the key to cost reduction, growth and possible lowering of electric car prices.
Elon Musk has talked about the revolutionary Tesla Model Y production technology in the past, her aim being to have a special architecture that allows the use of only a cable fraction and automated installation through robots.
Normally, this is a work for men, because with conventional solutions it will be very demanding for robots and very inefficient for the manufacturer. In comparison, the total length of the cables in the Tesla model reaches 3 km. In the new model 3, it is only 1.5 km away. And in the upcoming model, it should only be 100 m.
Thus, the production of new vehicles with patented technology, reported by electricity, should be significantly more efficient, while Tesla also saves material. This will lead to lower production costs, faster production, but also higher margins and space for lowering vehicle prices.
1 part instead of 70
And another patented Tesly technology should have a similar effect. According to Teslarati, the essence is a means of producing vehicle frames by casting.
According to Musk, the car should reduce production of 70 parts. This eliminates the need to weld or screw individual parts, save time and cost. Not only work, but also capital, as assembly robots are not needed.

Another advantage is to reduce vehicle weight. This will certainly help increase the efficiency of the TESLA model. Compared to the model 3, with which the larger crossover does not only share the power plant, the model has a range of 8-10% lower.
