Ana Du is on the 7th staircase at Massachusetts Primary School and she can have a lot of success. It succeeded in building a robot that can identify microplastic on the sea. The problem is not only for marine animals, but for the entire ecosystem. Scientists raise a warning finger and say that by 2050 there will be more fish in the seas than fish, which is really worrying.
This is one of the reasons why Anna decided not to look at everything. She noticed that it was extremely difficult to remove the microplastics that were deposited on the bottom of the ocean. Therefore, he created a robot that is precisely suitable for this activity. Robot warns of a small vehicle made of PVC pipes and fishing weights that moves in the sea and is capable of identifying microplastics using infrared radiation.
How can a 12-year-old girl do something like that? Her knowledge she needs in her local library has been gaining and watching hours of videos on YouTube. From an early age, she was interested in science, and her parents were involved in various events when Anina was five years old.
Many experts surrendered to the girl, including Casey Machao from the Oceanographic Institute Woods Hole. For The Smithsonian, she said that although the device is simple, Anna deserves praise. It established a functional prototype, which helped to solve the serious problem of humanity.

Casey Machao is dedicated to collecting and evaluating data from polar regions and is glad that one of the robots involved in her work inspired Anno to create her own prototype. Her robot also participated in the Broadcom Masters competition, and Anna gave her an idea in the top 30 competitors.
Many competitors attended the competition, and the best engineers and scientists in the field evaluated the ideas. Although Ana did not receive the first prize, she does not have a head and hopes that she will once become an engineer who will help build things that make the world a little better.
