The Italian Sicilian island struck a heavy rain.

On Sunday, heavy floats broke nine bodies out of a flooded house in Sicily, the DPA reported, referring to the announcement by local authorities at Twitters.

The fire department said the mother, her father, children and old parents found a house in Casteldaccia, near the Sicilian capital, Palermo. According to local media, two family victims came.

The water level of the river rose rapidly in the city due to heavy rains.

The mayor of Casteldaccia, Giovanni Di Giacinto, described the appearance of the bodies as "a huge tragedy," said the Italian press agency ANSA. Another person's body was found in Vicari, in Sicily.

Last week, more than 15 people died in Italy in storms, tornadoes, floods, landslides and heavy winds. Extreme weather has suffered Italy from the beginning. The northern landscape is the most affected.
