SINGAPORE – Households can save their electricity bills by simply tapping their online electricity retail store via a new service launched by SRX Property Real Estate Agent on Friday (November 9th).
The service is available on the srx.com.sg website and on my website mySG Home App.
Its beginning coincides with the introduction of an open electricity market across the country where consumers can switch the electricity provider as part of the government's efforts to liberalize the local retail electricity market.
SRX Property has been promoting GovTech's MyInfo service, which allows people to check their identity on the Web via singapore in a matter of minutes and sign up for a selected electricity store within a few minutes.
Those who use their SingPass application on their mobile phones can also use their own form or footprint identification to switch electricity dealers.
Households can verify their eligibility to switch the electricity trader to srx.com.sg.
According to the open electricity market, households with postal codes from 58 to 78 years have replaced electricity traders since 1 November 2018, which joined households in Jurong, who could purchase from other electricity traders in April 2018.
Until May 2019, the start of the liberalization of the electricity market is expected to be completed.
SRX is managed by the Streetsine Technology Group, a subsidiary of Singapore Press Holdings, owned by The Straits Times.
Its mySG Home platform allows users to follow the values of their homes and apply for a multi-lender housing loan. Members of mySG Home have already visited more than 102,000 homes.
