SINGAPORE – A juggling pedestrian was sent flying when she was hit by a car while crossing Balestier Road on Monday (July 22).
The police said they were alert to the accident along Balestier Road to Lavender Road at 17:29.
The Singapore Civil Defense Force said that the woman was assessed to have suffered minor injuries. She refused to be taken to the hospital.
Videos of the accident were shared on Facebook pages Roads.sg and SG Road Vigilante on Tuesday, and these messages have garnered more than 50,000 views.
The footage shows the pedestrian trying to cross the three lane road when she was hit by a black Toyota sedan traveling on the right lane.
On impact, the woman – who did not use a designated pedestrian crossing – flies and appears to be thrown against a stationary silver car on the middle lane, with her head pinned down and legs in the air, before landing on the road.
The drivers of both vehicles then get out of their cars to control the pedestrian.
Some nets have noticed that the pedestrian was not cautious about moving the road and noted that it was in the blind spot of the driver when the accident occurred.
Facebook user Palaboy Eugiano noticed that the black car slowed down when the accident happened, and it could be worse.
The police investigate this.
