
The Department of Commerce and Industry (DTY) -6 is conferring the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001: 2015 Certification (Quality Management System) by Certification International Philippines, Inc.
The certification was signed by its Chairman and President Renato V. Navarrete.
The ISO 9000 is a set of international standards on quality management and quality assurance designed to help organizations ensure that they meet the needs of customers and other stakeholders while meeting statutory and regulatory requirements related to a product / service.
The DTY6 has previously been certified since 2011 for a CMS assessed as configured to meet the requirements of ISO 9001: 2008. In 2015, the ISO has released a new standard for Quality Management System, so, Superseding ISO 9001: 2008
The new standard "ISO 9001: 2015 – Quality Management Systems – Requirements" supports DTY-6S commitment to provide quality services to our clients and stakeholders, such as DTI taking the transition from ISO 9001: 2008 to ISO 9001: 2015.
DTI-6 Regional Director Rebecca M. Rascon said that the DTY's certification speaks like a continuous improvement in culture and ongoing commitment to the "Serisiong himself in the middle."
