As of November 12, Android users who did not "support" the previous year will lose all their files.

This notification is due to an agreement between WhatsApp and Google that allows you to save all chats, photos and videos sent through the app through Drive, a technology giant hosting file, without spending space on your Google Account.

The bad news is that if you did not make a backup in the past 12 months, WhatsApp will delete all your old messages and the videos and photos that they contain.
According to the company, in a statement posted on its website, she explained, "in order to avoid losing this information, we recommend that you back up your WhatsApp data before November 12, 2018."
Change affects only Android users, because the company already has a contract with Apple, which allows its customers to store their cloud chats offered by iCloud.

"You can save messages and multimedia files to Google Drive so that if you switch to another Android phone or get a new one, you can download them," WhatsApp said about their new Google deal.
The company recommends that you connect your phone to a Wi-Fi network before making a Google Drive backup "because the file can vary in size and consumes a large amount of mobile data to get additional costs for your mobile operator."
How to create a backup in Google Drive:
- Open WhatsApp.
- Touch Menu> Settings> Members> Backup.
- Touch Save to Google Drive and select the frequency with which you want to save the backups.
- Select the Google Account you want to use to save your backup copy. If you do not have one, click Add Account.
- Touch Save to select the network you want to use to save your copies. Keep in mind that using mobile data can increase data usage.
How to manually save your chats in Google Drive:
- Open WhatsApp.
- Touch Menu> Settings> Members> Backup.
- Touch SAVE to start the backup process. It can take a few minutes.
