One in 100 women who were considered as an advanced breast cancer, compared to two out of every 100 who rated themselves as nightmares. Other studies in the United Kingdom reported the risks of cancer related to body weight and sleep patterns in order to study the characteristics of sleep and genetic factors.

The Richmond Group also analyzed genetic variants associated with the fact that someone in more than 220,000 women was daily or nightly to determine if this could lead to a causal relationship to breast cancer.
It has been shown that women whose genes are more likely to be early are less likely to contract breast cancer to 48%, as shown by the 220,000 participants in the study.
Women who reported sleeping more than an average of 7 to 8 hours per night had a slightly higher risk of breast cancer.
In another analysis of sleep, 180,000 participants showed a similar tendency for given women with a 40% lower risk of breast cancer. Differences have arisen due to technical differences, Richmond reports.
Women who reported sleeping more than an average of 7 or 8 hours per night also had a slightly higher risk of breast cancer, which is 20% per additional sleep hour, according to the Mendelian group randomized analysis.
