The oil fund set a new record again

Rising stock markets and close to the all-time high in the US The oil fund, together with a weak crown, helped set up new record records on Tuesday.

On Tuesday evening, the market value of the Norwegian oil fund (Government Pension Fund Global) was around NOK 9,370 billion. The highest Tuesday evening, it was up to 9,362.6 billion NOK, which is roughly the same. NOK 1.76 billion per resident in Norway.

At the end of 2018, the value was NOK 8.256 billion, and its value has thus increased by more than NOK 1.116 billion in 2019, corresponding to 13.5 per cent.

In the adopted budget for 2019, the Government Pension Fund Global was assumed to have a value at the end of 2019 of NOK 9.195 billion, and together with the pension fund domestic – NOK 9,462 billion.

In the revised budget, this is adjusted to 9,300 billion and NOK 9,553 billion respectively.

The Norwegian oil fund for the first time passed a market value of $ 9,000 billion on April 2, 2019.
