The headquarters of the Darby Auto Connexion (SDAC) will soon begin with its Malaysian championship in 2018, announcing that the refreshment of the sixteenth generation S550 mid-cycle (MCA) will be presented at the International Automobile Salon Kuala Lumpur (KLIMS) next week, with a triple metal 5.0 – The GT GT's quick start, which is shown in the photos, shows a vehicle, specifically for a pilot show.
Do not mention when the updated pony will officially go for sale here, but we know how it comes, both in version 5.0L GT and 2.3L EcoBoost, as it was before. According to SDAC, bookings will start with KLIMS at the car, and although prices have not been marked yet, it should not be too far away from pre-facelift versions.
Notified in January last year, the facelifted S550 features a number of external patches as part of its update – the grid, bumper and front bumpers have been restored, just like the bonnet, which now contains re-mounted fans.
Facelift now has a standard built-in LED front lamp, equipped with a light bar of three bar daily driving. There is also a new headlight and fog lamp. As for the back, the changes include a new three-bar LED rear light design, a new bumper, a new black diffuser and a modified configuration of the exhaust tips – EcoBoost gets double tips while the GT is equipped with four layouts.
Inside, meanwhile, it gets an improved touch of points and material for a superior look and feel. The center console adds a new hand-wound curtain with a contrast seam and padded knee pads, while the handles, rings and frames are finished in aluminum.
In addition to the 8.0-inch infotainment system Sync 3, the Mustang now has a 12-inch digital LCD instrument cluster that allows you to adjust the screen for conventional, sports, tracking, and color and profile settings. There is a MyMode feature that allows you to save drive settings, including suspension and control settings. The update is also a new key fob.
No modifications to the engine line, the 2.3-liter EcoBoost and the 5.0-liter Coyote V8, although enhanced power and torque output to Coyote, improvements are largely due to the use of dual fuel, high pressure direct injection and low-pressure fuel injection, which is new to the V8.
In the North American version of the car, the mill sets 460 hp and 569 Nm, a slight increase above 435 hp and 542 Nm at the pre-facelift, but the Malaysian car is likely to have 454 hp and 556 Nm, as shown in the Australian version.
As for the 2.3-liter EcoBoost, the unit has the same power as before (310 hp), but the torque has fallen from 434 Nm to 475 Nm. This is less for a car from Australia at 441 Nm.
The big change is in the form of a partnership transfer. The 6R80 SelectShift 6-way 6-based ZF is replaced by the Ford 10R80, a 10-speed unit that can also be seen on the Ranger Raptor. The car dealer says the new 10-speed meter offers faster shifting times, better response at low speed and significantly reduces friction loss.
The new pull mode also prevents the lost time while moving, which connects to Normal, Sport +, Track and Snow / Wet in the list of available driving modes.
Mechanical improvements come in the form of upgrades to the chassis for improved driving and handling – the changes include new shock absorbers that offer better driving control and a new transverse axle in the rear suspension to increase lateral stiffness. There is also an active valve exhaust system, a standard on the GT, which allows the exhaust to be adjusted.
The KLIMS 2018 exhibition space, which was still in place at the place of the compulsory warehouse, when these shots were made, will have to justify the protective linings – the 5.0L GT is in its Premium level trim, which means that the four-way switch for drive modes in the center console.
The show car also has a GT Performance package, which is characterized by a number of elements, although it may seem that it may not be the complete package, but also the items that have been selected from the basket.
The items on which they are located include 19-inch black Ebony Black, as they were already visible, now wrapped with 255/40 front and 275/40 rear tires Michelin Pilot Sport 4S (pre-facelift GT was originally fitted with the Pirelli P Zeros) and a six-piston front-mounted brake pad, which can be seen on the pre-facelift. Other features from the GT Performance package, on which they will be located, include the front air intake and the interesting designer rims for the Aluminum Engine Engine Spun.
The omissions indicating that this is not the whole package include a painted black roof and a silver strap, and the tail on it is completely wingless – while this was a deleted item in the Performance Performance package, it is now included in the new group specification, with performance rear-mounted units for speed.
