The number of Snapchat users increased to 203 million in the second quarter of 2019. This is evident from quarterly parent company figures Snap published on Tuesday.
This growth is up by 6.8% compared to the first quarter of 2019. At that time, 190 million people still use the social resources.
With this, Snap has seen its decline in the number of active users a year earlier. In 2018, the number of Snapchat users dropped from 191 million in the first quarter to 186 million at the end of December.
Snapchat has 64 million Europeans in Europe. North America is the largest with a market of 83 million active users. The remaining 56 million users are located in other parts of the world.
Turnover increases further, net loss decreases
Revenues rose in the first quarter of the year to $ 388 million (slightly more than $ 348 million). This is a fifth more than the first quarter, when Snap earned 320.4 million euros.
The net loss was more than $ 255 million. In the first quarter of this year, over 310 million, down 17.8 percent.
