Washington, November 8 (Prensa Latina) Three large asteroids, the largest of which is up to 30 meters wide, will approach our planet on Saturday, the US space agency has warned today.
A celestial body, denominated 2018 VS1, 13 to 28 meters wide, will occur at 391 thousand 535 kilometers (km) of Earth's distance at the time of the maximum approach, indicates the text of NASA.
According to its path, 16 minutes after the passage of the 2018 VS1, another asteroid, 14-30 meters wide, named 2018 VR1, will cross into five million 66 thousand 418 km from Earth, the letter adds.
Another body, named 2018 VX1, 8-18 meters wide, will be about 380,000 miles (160 kilometers), which is just a little less than the average distance between the Earth and the Moon (384,000 400).
According to experts, more than 750,000 asteroids in our solar system, 1,800 – in astronomical terms – orbits close to the Earth, so the risk of impact is real.
