Antimicrobial resistance is a huge and growing problem, with the potential for enormous health and economic consequences for the US and the rest of the world. According to a new OECD report released on Wednesday, superbug infections could lead to the lives of approximately 2.4 million people in North America, Europe and Australia over the next 30 years if it is no longer done to prevent antibiotic resistance.
