Futurist M. Ludden: After 5 years there will be no room for artificial intelligence

Famous futurist in the world of technology Michael Ludden, expert in artificial intelligence, contributes to Lithuania. November 15 The Baltic Mobile Congress, a virtual and complemented real specialist at the Vilnius International Mobile Economics Conference, will tell you how our life will replace virtual and complementary reality. According to him, very interesting changes are waiting for us.

Muddy Ludden, technology vendor at IBM Watson, Samsung, Google and others, says that today we encounter artificial intelligence, and in the next 5 years we will cover all our areas of life.

Futurist M. Ludden: After 5 years there will be no room for artificial intelligence

You are the co-authors of several books on transhumanism and supernatural reality. These publications will soon reach the bookshop. Who is most interested in today's technological innovation?

Today, it is most interesting to observe the effects of artificial intelligence on virtual and complementary reality, and how it will change the world in which we live, work and learn. The technology of painting, the apparent and widespread reality, is used for education, sports, treatment and safety. Therefore, it is a great pleasure for me to see unexpected areas of our lives in the next decade in order to adopt this technology and how it will change our daily life positively.

Artificial intelligence has the ability to learn and improve. In your opinion, what is the rate he has reached during this time?

I always say that we can talk and evaluate artificial intelligence in two ways. First, there is a narrow artificial intelligence that performs certain things very well, but it can not decide for itself whether to independently study and develop in other areas. For example, scientists can learn such artificial intelligence to overcome the world's best strategic player Go, but this artificial intelligence will never succeed in love affairs.

What is the other way?

This is a self-evident artificial intelligence that decides what to do. For example, he is good at playing chess, but he decides he wants to learn to prepare, and that's good. At present, there are many examples of narrow artificial intelligence in the world, but we do not have any other kind. Unfortunately, we are still quite far from it, but it is still difficult to predict when artificial intelligence will achieve a higher level.

Skeptics fear that virtual reality will deprive people of their work. Can this happen?

Looking at the story, we see that people are always afraid that technology will take its place and take away work. On the contrary, experience shows that they help to work faster, easier and more efficient. Millions of years ago, people themselves built pyramids and stone wings, and today's builders can handle huge machines that make their work easier. Thanks to artificial intelligence, people will no longer have to enter data in Excel program tables, or other devices can better perform digital work. People will not disappear, they will simply manage these processes.

What do you think we can still expect from artificial intelligence after 5 years?

There will be no space in which the artificial intelligence will not be used in a five-year perspective. Everything – from medicine to games, from business to marketing – is inevitably influenced by artificial intelligence. I do not think it will take five years for artificial intelligence to become a routine in our everyday life.
