Chairman of the Management Board of Klaipedos Nafta Giedrius Dusevičius told BNS that the company leader must avoid situations that raise issues for the public. In his view, the committee will discuss this issue in the near future.
He wrote about the fact that the head of the strategic company, M.Jusius, is still the president of a private company and the company wins the competition where his father Valdas Jusius acts as deputy director.
Energy Minister Žygimantas Vaičiūnas asked Klaipėda Petroleum to provide information on the public procurement received by Atea. The Ministry sent an assessment of the VPT.
"In well-managed companies, in positioning" Klaipedos nafta "as such, it would have to prevent cultural issues from the manager, so that procurement organizers, initiators or purchasing commissions would not deal with companies that were declared interested in them. Formally, maybe not they should be punished as a crime, but if we talk about good governance, moral aspects, these cultural content should be abandoned from the guide in order to avoid suspicions or negative evaluations, as both the society and the environment are so negatively assessed, "said BNS leader VPN Diana Vilytė.

"The dilemma of the dilemma, the exclusion institute operating in the country should not be paper, and I declare it and my mission is over." Apparently, this is not enough, "she added.
According to D. Vilytė, the conclusion of the appointment of M.Jusus as the "head of Klaipeda Oil" in the system of public service contracts led to the conclusion of four agreements with Ateo last year and this year. The highest values - about 17 thousand. Competition attracted 6 companies, but the proposal was only Atea itself, prepared by Yusi's father Valdas Jusius.
"Selling small purchases does not mean that a subscriber can complain to anything he wants. We are talking about trust and ease of purchase, but it is also a commitment that there are control mechanisms in that they block things that the head creates – I can have a conflict of interest and I ask you to take preventive measures to prevent them from happening, "said D. Vilyte
Giedrius Dusevičius, President of the Management Board Klaipeda Nafta, said that he believes that the head of the state-owned company must avoid situations that raise questions to the public.
"I am convinced that all the procedures were followed and nobody was violated, but the way in which he interprets has attracted attention, and such situations should be avoided," said BNS Dusevicius.
"I do not doubt that the situation meets all the requirements of the law, but from the viewpoint of good governance, the leader must assume a more responsible appearance and avoid such attitudes in general. When he went to work for this position he had to assess the topic and he himself had to say this and the board said, "he added.
According to Mr Dusevicius, he was not aware of the relationship between his and Ateo as the executive director of M. Yusu.
"I did not know such things, I did not know beforehand. While we employed it, we did not review and evaluate this issue, but we demanded that we comply with all the procedures laid down by law and that there are no reasons for a conflict of interest," he said BUS Dusevicius.
He announced that in the near future he would discuss the problem of contracts for companies with Ateo. In his opinion, the company was required to forward the information to the committee.
Mr. Jusius BNS confirmed that he publicly stated that his father works in Atei. He also claimed for the portal 15min.lt that due to family circumstances he had little contact with his father.
"It was unique, from the very beginning it was proclaimed and (the connection with the working parent Atee – BNS) was assessed as a risk of conflict of interest. And estimated, declared and decided not to be compromised," said M. Jusius, BNS.
"In my statement, this fact is likely to apply in 2008, but then I applied for members of the audit committee. All this information was consistently always included in all statements, all kinds of conflicts of interest are possible. Every time this was a matter publicly and publicly announced, "- said M. Jusius.
According to him, this information was forwarded to both the Chief Administrative Ethics Committee (STEC) and Klaipedos Nafta.
"From the moment I needed the head of the Ethics Committee, I, as a member of the committee, probably made such statements. According to the rules of the company, the declaration of interests is mandatory and I really remember that I regularly carry out everything from the year when the Audit Committee transmitted annually this information ", – explained M. Jusius.
He also emphasized that he had nothing to do with the purchase of the Klaipeda oil, which was won by Atea.
"I did not even know about them because the team that works, orders for orders. I really do not know this information," said M. Jusius.
