For a long time, Eurovision Asia has not come to the aid of political issues and has come to an agreement with 10 different Asian countries.
In March 2016, the Eurovision organizer European Radio Association (EBU) concluded an agreement with SBS to create a local regional version of the European competition.
SBS and its Blink TV production partner were leading their foundation, and the original idea was that Sydney was the first host city before being introduced to other cities in the region.
Broadcasters from India, China and South Korea have expressed their interest and framework plans for the competition, which will be debut in 2017 … then 2018.
Now in the last installment, Gold Coast is to be held at the end of 2019.
This came from the 9NEWS Queensland report, which found documents published by the Gold Coast City Council.
At this stage, it will be held from 30 November to 7 December 2019 at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Center.
It will feature "top-notch artists" from 16 Asia-Pacific countries, with "red carpet arrivals", "press meeting and greetings" and "three hours live".
Among those who are expected to participate are China, Japan, Korea, Indonesia, Australia, New Zealand, India, South Korea, Singapore and the UAE.
Those who showed interest were Kazakhstan, the Maldives, Vanuatu, Papua New Guinea and the Solomon Islands.
The full list of definitions will be confirmed in May.
However, SBS rejected speculation.
"Eurovision Asia is still in development. We continue to talk about bringing the event to life, but at this stage nothing is confirmed."
Gold Coast will host Australia Dec. in February, where an Australian song and artist will be selected to represent the country at Eurovision in Israel.
The Gold Coast Council wants to be home to all Eurovision and wants to be able to host every four years in the next 12 years in its consultation document.
This has already marked a new area of HOTA art as Eurovision Asia Village.
"Eurovision Asia is huge", Mayor of Gold Coast Tom Tate said 9NEWS. "(Potentially able to reach) more than 200 million people."
