The restaurant, opened in Cannabis, will be opened in Brighton
The first cannabis restaurant in the United Kingdom, the Canna kitchen in Brighton, is due to open its doors on December 1st.
November 13, 2018
The restaurant will specialize in vegetarian and vegan foods, most of which will be filled with legal forms of cannabinoids.
Cannabis plants consist of more than 100 different cannabinoids, which have different effects on the body and are concentrated to varying proportions in some parts of the plant. The most famous of these are THC and CBD.
THC is a psychoactive cannabinoid – the one used by the recreational users to be "high". CBD does not have this effect. While almost all cannabinoids are monitored in accordance with the Drug Abuse Act, there is no CBD. Under the rules of the Home Office, the CBD can contain a maximum THC content of 0.2 per cent and THC can not be easily separated from it.
Early this year, family member of the epilepsy, Billy Caldwell, 12, granted exemption from Secretary of State Said Javid to take concentrated CBD oil that contained higher levels of THC after insisting it was life.
Following the public pressure associated with the Caldwell case, the Home Secretary announced on November 1 that doctors could begin prescribing cannabis products to their patients.
Restaurant Canna Kitchen will use seasonal British ingredients "inspired by worldly flavors and filled with medicinal cannabinoid properties". Owners say that CBD has several healing properties, including relieving inflammation, pain and anxiety, although there have been no decisive scientific studies.
Director Sam Evolution said: "We are trying to replace the wrong concepts of cannabis by presenting them to people in a form they may not have encountered."
Apart from the Canna Kitchen restaurant, the CBD Café and the hospital on the upper side will be managed by infused cakes, drinks and drinks.
