The Indian buffsmen got off to a solid start with the four-day four match against Australia XI at Sydney Cricket Ground on Thursday, with Prithvi Shaw, Qatar, and Cheteshwar Pujara scoring half-centuries each. After the first day was washed away by rain on Wednesday, the two teams will come down to the forc in 30 minutes earlier on Thursday. The hosts won the toss and elected to the field.
India did not get off to the best of start with Cl Rahul getting dismissed for 3 runs with Seamer Jackson Coleman getting his first wicket in the match. Pujara and Sho struck in the middle with the latter being the aggressor and scoring a quick half-century. The younger was dismissed by Daniel Falllins for 66. Skipper, Virat Kohli, led to the partnership with Pujara, which was dismissed by 54 as Robbins.
Hanuama Vihari is the fourth in the day to calculate a half century when he signed a 81-run partnership with Ajinkya Rahane. The right-hand basement was dismissed by D-arcy Short for 53, just after tea. Rahman joined Rohit Sharma and took part in more than 300 content in the last session of the day.
The match does not have first-class status, and India has decided to make 14 players available for the game. India will play Australia in the first match of the four-match series, starting from December 6, 2018.
