Deaths and infections of swine flu in Gaza

Gaza- Homeland: The Ministry of Health confirmed on Thursday that many influenza cases have been caused by various types of viruses that have caused seasonal flu among Gaza citizens, which has led to some cases of serious illness and some deaths.

The Ministry explained that the Ministry monitors and monitors this matter and takes appropriate action.

The Ministry found that this is the usual seasonal prevalence of the disease.

The ministry called on citizens to take conventional preventative measures for the disease, receiving the vaccine, especially for the elderly who suffer from chronic illnesses, immune deficiencies and hygiene and personal care.

Salama Maarouf, an official of the Government Information Office, explained what had been reported yesterday about the presence of many cases of swine flu.

In a press release, Maarouf explained that the official health authorities examined and monitored the presence of H1N1 flu cases or swine flu in two areas in the Gaza Strip and did not exceed 12 cases.

He added that this damage led to the death of some because of the lack of immunity due to chronic diseases, especially in the heart or respiratory system, or age and aging, as well as all cases of infection in the care of the competent authorities in the ministry.

He underlined that swine flu is a seasonal species that has been in the Palestinian territory for several years and does not differ in the symptoms of infection with other influenza viruses, except in some minor symptoms, which indicates that the Ministry of Health will issue a detailed details of symptoms and methods of prevention and treatment.

Maarouf regretted that under the reality of the Ministry of Health due to the siege in their stores, there are not many medicines with high efficacy in reducing the symptoms of the virus specifically to Tamiflu and that there are great efforts to communicate with many clients.

Maarouf said that there was no intention to hide any public interest information, but the official estimate that what has happened almost every year almost does not go beyond the usual rates recorded by the Ministry of Health and that deaths are actually the result of the complications of the deceased's chronic diseases.

"We hope this clarification will end the state of discussion on this subject," he said. He called for an increase in public awareness of prevention and treatment without overstating, which will be published today by the ministry's bulletin.
