Colombian singer Fonseca seems tired, but at the same time full of happiness after his birth on the same week of his two "Agustín", his third son and his ninth album of his discography.
"There was a lot of experience," the singer acknowledged in an interview with Efe, in which he said that recording and composing the record was "an intensive process" and, if it is related to the arrival of the child, is "very emotional", the result is "very nice , twice ".
He says that he decided that his "two sons" would be called "Agustín" in order to mark the moment and remember that his name and his wife, Juliana Posada, were both "telepathic" and without any reference to the family, something which It seemed magical.
In the musical life of Juan Fernando Fonseca, he thinks he is "very pleased with the album" that was released on Friday, which includes collaboration with Spanish Ana Torrojo and Melendi and "new sounds", but in a recognizable style of pop fusion with touch of traditional music in his own country.
The preview of the album was the single "Simples Corazones", which was selected as the topic of the Colombian tourist action for 2018 and was nominated for Latin grammes.
The album, released by Sony Music Latin, reflects the features of Fonseca's career, and is also a combination of pop with a traditional accordion, so typical of the vallenato to produce melodies that run romantic texts.
For this proposal, the singer remains faithful to his first production in 2002, "Fonseca", which later allowed the internationalization of singles, such as "Te mando flores", which were part of his second album "Corazón".
However, he approached Agustin with the rhythmic basis of urban music, and the proof is that he first released an album in which there is no drum, which naturally arose, he said.
"I've always been influenced by what I hear, I'm never putting in a lot of strategy. I always see the album as an empty page when I compose and produce the album, I do not have any flight plans," he explained.
"Agustín" has 16 songs, ten of which are with producer Fonseca, and the album together with eleven producers of different nationalities, including his cousin and friend Mauricio Rengifo.
As far as cooperation with other artists is concerned, he says that they have happened naturally. With Anne Torrojo, who sings "Paso a paso", she coordinated it via Twitter, while in the case of Melendia she already had a personal relationship, and she felt that her voice was perfect for the "remix" of Simples corazones.
The theme "Volver a Verte" is the guests of the Colombian spirit of Cali and Dandee, part of which is Rengifo, and also songs with Mexican Kinky and Argentine Nahuel Pennies, who is "surprising" and "special" artist. He said, interpreting the ballad "Because nobody knows".
Fonseca, the winner of his career in five Latin Grammys, is preparing for his poems in the United States, which is accompanied by the Bacillus group, and although it is "difficult" to go on a journey and be distant from his family more in the following months after the birth of his son, says that life gives him "life".
And for this "new life" that has changed her home into a quintet (her older children, Paloma and Manolo, are eight and five years old), Fonseca hopes "to travel through this life in which to search for happiness the main thing. "
Another "musician" Agustin wants to help him "continue building a career, continue building roads and continue to print stories about love and love for the song, so that people can feel identified, lend, dedicate," he said.
"I am happy to serve people for this," he admitted.
