At Fayway, we talk with Guilerme News, an expert in Artificial Intelligence. We talk about the ethical frameworks of egg in companies.
The Artificial Intelligence The Latin American companies are coming soon. But, do we really know how to use AI and we have clarity in making decisions with the data? How do the enterprises benefit from this?
Of all this we talked with the expert and executive assistant of IBM Latam's General Management, Guilerme Novies.
FW: Talk about the current scenario. How do business consumption have the YES today? What percentage of children do they have in the area?
GN: Today we all agree that we are in a new time – the era of data. The economy today is guided by the data that circulates in companies, in social networks, in sensors, distribution through cities, in our cell phones and tablets, in which we buy, wear, etc. The phenomena of mobile and social media Transforms the industries and redefines the ways in which people are consuming and business models of companies. Consumers today want personalized answers in real time and companies need their technology to generate more value by converting S Open in insights to help make decisions and improve the experience of their customers.
Artificial Intelligence helps companies to adapt to current market demand, because they can understand large amounts of data (text, sound, pictures, video) in real time, formulate intelligent hypotheses, make personalized recommendations and interact with us using conversational conversations Corporate Card, Digital Transformation and Artificial Intelligence are a fact that generate an impact on business, workforce and customer experience.
And that's not far from us. Which is already a reality here in Latin America. The Digital Transformation Leveraged by the AI is giving us an opportunity to redefine our competitive capacity in the area. Our public and private companies are on the right terms with any other company in the world. The difference will be placed in being the focus and agility to take advantage of new technologies. Here in Latin America, we have a group of important renventors that lead the industry into business, such as banking, retail, health, education, among others, in large companies and startups that have understood how the AI can accelerate its processes of innovation
FW: How is AI gaining confidence in companies and ventures? How do we break down?
GN: In the data economy in which we live, new technologies need to be guided safely and companies like us who build the technologies have that responsibility. So it is extremely important that the companies do data management following security, privacy and property principles.
In addition, now that AI technologies have the ability to emulate the cognitive abilities that have so far been unique to humans, we began to use it to make important decisions that require ethical principles and must be taken with complete independence of prejudices, Consider their impact on the life of people and companies.
People expect that all decisions and attitudes that a company takes will be based on ethical principles. When the actions are defined with the support of the machines, we must ensure that the systems are also working ethically.
A recent study at IBM Institute for Business shows that 82% of companies in the world are relevant to implementing artificial intelligence models, but 60% still have a cautious attitude or feel some distrust. So we are working to break that distrust. An important example was a system that IBM has now developed to ensure that AI delivers more assertive and unbiased results. The new system is able to detect the bias, make recommendations to minimize it and increase transparency, explaining in real time that led it to make a decision to the harm of another. Being able to explain transparently how and through which the AI system was trained is essential to increase confidence.
FW: What fundamental innovations could I generate for a business strategy?
GN: Artificial intelligence is generating disruption in companies, transmitting industries and professions. Why? Because of the current moment in which we are alive, companies do not value their physical assets or their production capacity, but because of their ability to manage their data, understand their customers, manage information and get insights and competitive value . So for a society to really be competitive in this scenario dominated by the digital revolution, the company needs to have a solution that understands the data. A type of intelligence that understands the range of information, and manages to give context and meaning to them. It is necessary something that really helps to find what is written between the lines of the data, something that can make a differentiated viewpoint and serve as support for the decision making.
And since 80% of the world's data is not structured, this is, it comes from different sources and formats and is not capable of information by introducing through traditional computer systems, we must use Artificial Intelligence Solutions in the Cloud to Give companies the ability to transform the unstructured data into useful information and the speed needed to gain competitive advantage. AI is committed to making sense of the unrestricted data and helping to transform information into insights into the sea. AI systems are able to understand, analyze and extract the value of invisible data, and give companies the knowledge they need to transform their client's experience, which they can better understand consumer preferences, to improve their entire experience and help them make Decisions at the moment. This gives the company the opportunity to innovate and transform its business strategy with real business results, with an increase in productivity and sales growth, generating high impact in the decision making of companies and giving them a competitive potential.
FW: How is the delivery of the IAS by companies translated into practicality for clients and end users?
GN: Watson is ai platform for business. We provide technology companies so that they can develop specific solutions to their business and generate benefits for their clients. Hundreds of companies in Latin America have been using and using Watson use of artificial intelligence in different sectors. We have examples of applications in our day-to-day, virtual assistant, B & B; The new Volkswagen cars, such as Virtus, Tiguan and Vento, are already coming with the Cognitive Manual that interacts in a natural language in Portuguese or Spanish; The AI that interacts with visitors in the Museum of Anthropology in Mexico; The solution of Ai from the Brazilian business school Saint Paul is considering the netflix of education; Seguros Equinoccial, from Ecuador, launched the first intelligent car insurance (Auto Conectado) with the app that Watson uses to get information about driving habits; Or LUZi which is a device with IBM Watson Technology in IBM Cloud, created by a group of doctors to monitor pregnancies in the rural communities of Guerrero, the state with the highest number of maternal and child deaths in Mexico … in addition To the various applications in trade, agriculture and health, to help develop new medical and support doctors in the treatment of diseases such as cancer, etc.
FW: How Much Does the Adaptation Of Cloud Storage Systems Contribute to the Paradox Shift?
GN: In the face of an evolutionary cloud strategy, AI projects are trying on high volumes of data that requires a lot of computing and storage power. This is what cloud platforms do well, thanks to their ability to balance according to demand. If customers want to beat AI, they must first master the cloud.
According to IBM, about 40% of organizations around the world are likely to invest in cloud-based technologies to complement their perspective.
In this sense, a cloud built for yeast is the one that will provide the highest levels of integration. IBM Cloud is an application to accelerate integration with the data, inside and outside the facilities; The ideas of the new experts are based on technologies, such as Machine Learning, IoT and AI.
FW: How do you see the future of egg in the area?
GN: The growth of egg production in Latin America is exponential and artificial intelligence is now a reality over Latin America. The market is adding cross-cutting solutions for new and small companies to adult and traditional entities of all economic segments. We have hundreds of examples of companies using Watson in the area, from different sectors. The companies have already changed the way they interact with their customers using the egg to offer a new experience. The examples are many and today we see that all industries search for digital transformation leveraged by artificial intelligence.
The evolution of egg goes in the direction of humans working more and more together with the car, expanding the ability to reason and generate hypotheses of intelligent systems evolving to help us solve increasingly complex human problems. As soon as we break the barrier of distrust, the faster we will capitalize on the benefits of new technologies, using them to make equity decisions and gain new competitive advantages.
Let's see ai really transform industries and professions in the coming years. The future will be those who adopt the new capabilities that embark on the new era, implementing tools that take advantage of and empowering individuals to transform customer service into sectors with great impact on the society, such as health, Education and security.
