Formula E explains why the new 'Attack Mode' Will be like Mario Kart

As motorsportcom put it, the pilots must cross an activation area off the track, with three synchronization sensors. After activating the 'Attack Mode' Through a button on their steering wheels, they will be able to enjoy a power of 225 kW that will facilitate overtaking.

The off-track position of the attack zone is designed to ensure that pilots lose time before coming into the higher power mode. The system, which is mandatory to use, is inspired by the videogame Mario Cart.

The transmissions of the Formula E in the fifth time "will include virtual reality, and the activation zone will be represented on the track as a field of graphic" as they have communicated from the championship.

"State-of-the-art technology will use the track camera tracking, live telemetry data and powerful graphics engines to help tell a story of each race," the statement continued.

Motorsport.com understands that the precise duration and number of activations in the attack mode are # Will only be a few hours before each race to avoid teams simulating the quickest way to use the system in different locations.
