Shoppers Wire Mart is granted a license to sell medical marijuana online.
Health Canada's list of authorized Cannabis sellers and producers is updated to reflect that the pharmacy can sell lean and fresh cannabis, as well as plants, seeds and oil.
A website is set by the company, which says that patients with a valid medical document will soon be able to buy a broad selection of medical cannabis products from shoppers.
A spokeswoman for shoppers' parent company Loblaw Companies Ltd. Said that it is too soon to say when people can be able to start making orders.
She said that the company is still working through a "technical issue" with healthy Canada.
The company is granted a medical marijuana producer license in September, after initially applying in October 2016.
Shoppers said that there was no interest in producing medical cannabis, but the license was required to sell the product to patients.
Under the current health Canada regulations for medical pot, the only legal distribution method is by mail permission of licensed producers directly to patients.
