NASA's OSIRIS-rex spacecraft arrives at asteroids

NASA Spacecraft Osiris-Rex arrives at an asteroid called Benno this morning on a mission to collect a sample of the asteroid's surface and bring it back to earth.

The craft was traveling by location for more than two years.

It will come in 20 kilometers of the 500-meter (1,640-foot) live-earth asteroid today.

The purpose of the mission is to learn more about the origins of life on earth and perhaps elsewhere in the solar system.

Coverage of the event will be streaming live starting at 11:45 AM.
