Twenty-six-year-old Colton Koop has been found dead in the Swift Current Creek, upstream from where his truck was found weeks ago.
At 9:30 am Saturday morning, the Division Underwater Recovery RCMP found Koop's body under the ice, according to a news release.
Coop was last seen on November 16. Swift Current Urban RCMP received a call that morning around 6 am. Approximately a 2014 red Dodge frame 1500 pickup truck went southbound on 6thth Avenue NE was passed through a guardrail and stopped at Swift Current Creek, the report said.
When the fire department arrived at the scene, it was confirmed that there was no one in the vehicle.
The RCMP Underwater Recovery Team was at the site the next day. They removed the truck from the river and said that there was no one in the water immediately under or around the truck.
The investigation showed that the incident may have occurred early until 2am, but the exact time is not known.
The RCMP is continuing its investigation into the incident.
