Apparently, Hiroshi's Tanahashi just made the list. While it was a wild array of speculation that Chris Jericho could join Cody Rhodes and the Young Bucks in Jacksonville, Florida for the brand new All Elite Wrestling promotion, the legendary wrestler hasn't been done with New Japan Pro-Wrestling just yet.
Jericho could have lost the IWGP InterContinental in a potential candidate of the candidate last night at Wrestle Kingdom 13; But he wants to remain intent on challenging the IWGP Heavyweight Championship, now held by Hiroshi Tanahashi, who defeated Keny Omega to recite the title.
Jericho spoke Yahoo Japan, "I just lost those [Intercontinental Championship] I took from Naito in June of last year. It's a big mistake if you think the time with me and New Japan is pro-wrestling. I want to challenge the IWPP Heavyweight Belt … Write it down. Chris Jericho will challenge the IVGP Heavyweight Championship! You will understand. "
Jericho saw a career renaissance since returning to New Japan's pro-wrestling in November of last year. He defeated Tetsuiya Naito to become the IWGP InterContinental Champion and had a 209-day champion as a loser, only to lose the InterContinental Championship in a no-DC match at last Evening's Resestle Kingdom.
