SaskPower says they deal with a large scale unplanned outage. Etchwan, part of Regina, Melville, Humboldt and Rhostern are just a few of the churches that are prolonged.

A combination of Frost on Powerlines and the wind is causing lines around the province to snap.

A spokesperson of SaskPower says that they are assessing the situation and working towards a solution.

The outcasts forced a number of businesses to temporarily shut their doors.

The University of Regina says it has canceled all day and night classes on Tuesday due to the outage.

Anyone who sees a downed powerline should call sasppower and do not approach it.
