Turkish manufacturer Karsan is launching its new electric mini bus Karsan Jest Electric. Its autonomous range varies from 80 to 210 km (NEDC cycle) due to the BMW i3 battery. The customer can choose between one lithium-ion battery pack with a capacity of 33 and 44 kWh or a double package with a capacity of 66 and 88 kWh.
The electric motor is 125 kW and produces the maximum torque of 290 Nm. The maximum speed is limited to 70 km / h.
With a regular AC adapter, it takes 6 hours for battery charging to reach 80%. With a 50 kW quick charger, the same charge is achieved for 40 minutes. Thanks to regenerative braking, the batteries charge up to 25%.
The electric bus relies on an automatic transmission with one gear. The model has a self-supporting construction and an independent suspension on all four wheels.

The manufacturer claims that orders already exist from Romania, Portugal, Spain, Slovakia and France.
The next step in the Turkish company is Atak Electric, 8.1 meters. He is still in the testing phase with a 220kWi lithium-ion battery, which should provide an autonomous range of approximately 300 km. It is expected that the model will be shown in the prepared version next year.
