The Ministry of Health recommends vaccination against yellow fever before the summer – the Government of Brazil

To prevent yellow fever infection, the Ministry of Health recommends that people living in areas with a disease-prone disease be vaccinated before the beginning of the summer. A season that focuses on the rainy season is a period that promotes the spread of Aedes aegypti, a vector of disease in urban areas.

Particular attention should be paid primarily to the countries of São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Minas Gerais, where most of the population is not yet immunized. Dangerous, registry disease mortality rate reaches 40%.

Over the course of this year, more than 30 million doses have already been distributed to health care jobs. The single-dose vaccination campaign is for people older than nine months. Since the beginning of this year, 1,311 cases of disease have been confirmed.
