Samsung’s 600 MP sensor is confirmed in the pipeline

Maybe lens will be extended, maybe it will be rollable tech so it can not fabric if the stick is thick or they will use some mirrors to concentrate the light.
Unfortunately, no socks from Sony feels like Samsung sensors take a lead.

Funny how, even at 600 MP, it can not be zoomed like any of the Huawei devices.

?

600 MP might be interesting in a medium Fujifilm camera or something, but definitely not in anything else.

In theory, 600 MP 0.8 microns with 3×3 binding is equal to 66.67 MP 2.4 microns.

Or if possible, 600MP 0.8microns with 7×7 Binning equals 12.24MP 5.6microns

Well, a 200MP sensor can be supported with 888

Imagine 9 to 1 200MP sensor 0.7mm with 22MP 2.1mm, meanwhile 108 can do 27MP with 1.6mm or maybe 200MP with 50MP4 in 1 1.6mm which in gossip

It can be added as a mod that can work.

Anonymous, 11 hours agoCurrently, a Sony A7SIII only needs to use a 12MP full frame sensor, hell, even their FX6 cinema … MoreIf they use a large 12MP sensor, they will not have what to market next year.
It’s all about marketing and driver, not about our truly needs.

Would not the pixels need to be extremely small because it is 600 MP, which would make the readout and a bit slow. Someone correct me if I am wrong, but would not it be better to have less MP, a larger sensor and larger pixels?

“The ISOCELL 600MP sensor, however, will not come soon because Samsung needs to solve the issue with the camera bump first.” To be brutally honest, I do not care about the camera bump. The Nokia 808 PureView and the Nokia Lumia 1020 proved that the physics of hardware is still relevant.

That said, 600MP sensor with 0.8 μm pixel size? I wonder how many levels of pixel binding would be involved. Is it even possible to make Bayer modifications for 12 MP? Because if it involves direct Bayer modifications like Nonacell or TetraCell, it can not get a perfect resolution of 12MP, unlike ISOCELL 108MP and 48MP sensor.

Peter, 11 hours agoNo, no, Samsung is preparing a 600 MP sensor for the automotive industry. They never said it would be … moreAnd why read the presentation to be shown in a phone?

One could offer such a sensor automotive, and someone else says that we would find ourselves as it would fit in a camera, and such a presentation could be done, and that is the end of it, or they could find a way to do it. Things do not just fit into one category in our minds.

You have to ask that a good liquid lens focal module (Samsung has an early patent has a larger format liquid lens solution, which is much thinner than optical) would be much smaller than when you use a smaller 8K chip. The use of a vertical color filtering scheme, which Foveon X3 used on Sigma cameras, was only an early example of, and would also give 8K chip good color rendering, removing one of the other benefits of proposed 32K chips. The other thing is VR / machine 180 degree +, which the 600mp would still be good for. Such large chips can also be used for holographic post focusing shooting.

In this case, I have offered new thin lens technology, I have to ask, could not they make this module much thinner, without making it popup (which someone is bound to offer)? The U.S. military now has control of a flat light back objective. Which, without zoom and using light beam bundling, may be acceptable. Such a lens may even adapt itself from a lens area closer to the Vmax 15 Perfect film size, but this is speculative and too easy to smear.

Oppaii, 5 hours agoWill this even result in a major change in the details of the photos hmmm? When 48mp sensor … moreOverall yes, 12MP is the norm, but compared to the higher resolution sensors, there is no competition.
Many people have forgotten how big the difference can be.
I remember when I upgraded from S5 to S7 edge, I was very disappointed with the S7 edge, better dynamic range, but the colors are overstated, and the details are abysmal compared to the Z5 true life rendition and much more resolution to work With.
We also have the same opinions about display resolution, recently I found my LG G5. And the person that QDD 5.5 display demolishes my P30 Pro. No visible pixels.
So yes, 600 MP is a bit too much, but at least the competition is heating up again. If a good camera is implemented.

It still takes decent pics, but the last 64mp takes better details when you zoom in, but that’s about it.

I do not see this significant difference at least in the Ranger territory.

I wish the Ranger should get a better night out.
