Manhunt, who started out after a free man, shot himself in the parking lot


Welkom – The Free State Police launched a raid after a man was shot in a parking lot at the Welkom shopping center.

The incident occurred on Sunday at 5.30 in the commando shopping center.

In a video that saw two men occasionally approaching a parked blue VW Pole before one of them pulls out a gun and shoots several times on the driver.

The suspects then open the door and withdraw the dead body from the car before accelerating in its vehicle.

Police spokesman Captain Stephen Thakeng confirmed the shooting and theft of a 54-year-old car.

"Two unidentified African men shot him three times in the chest and twice on his left hand. He was stretched out of the vehicle and the suspects drove with their vehicle.

"He was confirmed dead on the scene."

The Manhunt started and the police later renewed the human vehicle alongside the Digger's Inn in Steyn 2.

Thakeng confirmed that a case of murder and abduction had been reported for further investigations.

He also called on anyone to have information that could lead to the arrest of suspects to contact Captain Pieter from the crime investigation unit for vehicles in Velk at the number 0798842179.
