Mobile World Congress 2019 is a little over a month away, which means it's time to talk about upcoming smartphones.
One manufacturer who entered the spotlight before the week-long event was LG, with a report arriving via CNET about their G8 flagship phone (unofficial name).
As in the past few years, the South Korea manufacturer is looking to get rid of other phone makers by adding an attachable screen to the upcoming device.
It is unclear what the purpose of the second screen would be, but as other companies like Samsung have been utilizing folding displays to add more form factor options to their devices, perhaps this is something to offer something in the Interim while it still tries to figure out how to make foldable displays run.
According to CNET's second screen, the G8 would fit like a case, and then allow the phone to move forward and back in front of the screens.
Whether or not such a gimmick will win over consumers is unclear, especially as LG has lost ground to the likes of Apple in recent years and has been surprised by rivals like Huawei.
With LG saying that they have some devices in the drag-and-drop mode for MVC19, they've hopefully more to offer than just the G8 and its attachable second screen.
